"Banana' is a colloquial term used to call out Asians who are whitewashed: yellow on the outside and white on the inside. I created Banana Sans to celebrate being Asian in America. This typeface combines the geometric curves from ancient Chinese windows with Latin alphabets to celebrate both Asian and Western heritage.

I also created a fictional event called the Boston Asian American Speaker Series and used Banana Sans for the event poster. The pattern showcases the geometric Chinese windows I mentioned earlier.
